The first installment of "Harping on About Jazz" examined the beginnings of Jazz harp, pioneered in the early '30s by classical/jazz harp prodigy Casper Reardon, and ended up with the early works of jazz/soul harpist Dorothy Ashby.This was just a part of the picture...The second half of the special will continue on from this foundation and include the work of Alice Coltrane, Carol Emanuel, Zeena Parkins and other standard-bearers of the harp as used in modern jazz.
