Using the material provided in Mark Prendergast's book "The Ambient Century" the special will explore the roots of many of the artists and music that shows up in the KFJC library. From Mahler/Satie/Debussy, Messian/Varese, to Cage/Stockhausen/Boulez/Xenakis/Subotnik with a focus on Reich, Eno, Part, Closing with more recent works- Crimson, Kraftwerk, Morricone, Frip, sonic Youth, Ord, FSol, Scanner, Chemical Brothers and more.
