Despite being among the most accomplished jazz bassists on the scene today, Greg Cohen has remained in relative obscurity. Supplying the swinging low end for musicians from Tom Waits, Ornette Coleman, John Zorn's Masada to Woody Allen's jazz band, Cohen's musical diversity is a result of rare talent combined with a tremendous knowledge of the history of music. Along with studio and rare live recordings produced over the past 30 years, this special will include a recent interview in Cohen's home of New York City. Tune in for a rare opportunity to hear the sounds and stories from this soft-spoken musical giant.

In the late 60s and early 70s, Boyd worked with Nick Drake, the Incredible String Band, and Fairport Convention (and their various alumni), as well as more psychedelic acts like the early Pink Floyd and Soft Machine. Joe will tell us about but a mere slice of his long career, focusing on his Witchseason Productions family of artists.
